First documented in 1254 and owned by noble Franconian families for centuries, Schloss Frankenberg is a hilltop castle estate in the Steigerwald wine region of Bavaria. Extensively renovated since 2014 by the European Heritage Project, it combines historic grandeur with award-winning gastronomy — including the fine-dining restaurant Le Frankenberg and the rustic Amtshaus — alongside its own 32-hectare vineyard and Black Angus cattle farm.
