This question will take centre stage on 17 April 2026 in Imola, where a hybrid high-level stakeholder networking and matchmaking event will bring together key actors from the automotive, tourism, and innovation sectors in the framework of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

Taking place from 09:30 to 12:30, both in person and online, the event will offer a dynamic platform for exchange, collaboration, and forward-looking ideas. Participants will explore how large-scale events can go beyond entertainment to become catalysts for economic development, sustainable tourism, and cross-sector innovation.

The programme features an inspiring lineup of renowned speakers and experts, including Cristiana Pace, Founder of the Sustainable Motorsport Alliance, Josep Lluís Santamaría, Managing Director of Circuits de Catalunya, and Jérôme Lachaze, former Head of Sustainability at the Automobile Club de l’Ouest. Institutional perspectives will be brought in by Elisa Spada, Deputy Mayor of Imola, alongside speakers from our consortium such as Michele Colavito, Elisabetta Bracci, and Manuela Graf.

Through keynote talks, expert panels, and a strategic roundtable, the discussions will focus on how racetracks can evolve into hubs for sustainable innovation, how major events generate both economic and cultural value, and how regions can strengthen their competitiveness through collaboration across industries.
